Born from Nick Pearson’s fascination with living form and industrial precision, the Mechanica Fauna series transforms reclaimed tools and fragments of machinery into poised, lifelike creatures — scorpions, dragonflies, giraffes, and other invented hybrids.

Each sculpture captures motion mid-gesture, a moment where instinct meets engineering. Every edition (limited to ten) is hand-forged in the Newbury studio, the welds left visible as proof of process, and finished with an oxidised or wax-sealed patina that deepens with time.
